They also seem to think that when you drag a joke out that it gets funnier the longer the joke persists, which in my experience has never been the case. What I didn't like was some of the blatant attempts they were making in some scenes to be extremely stupid-funny when they had some better low-key (by comparison) comedy in some well placed spots in the movie. I think the reason their over-the-top style works better on this movie is because the F&F franchise is already ridiculous so it plays in decently with this parody. After what I've seen from Friedberg and Seltzer I figured it was going to be an over the top ridiculous movie, and it was, but it's far from their worst parody movie. So I've given this movie fair chance and was surprisingly only mildly disappointed. I'm gonna start off by saying that I will give every movie a chance even if I have a pretty good idea that they aren't that great.
